The
Numbers
What follows is an
unofficial overview of the number of Assamites divided by bloodlines and
allegiances. The percentages come from Clayton Oliver, the author of the
revised Assamite clanbook, and I have put these into solid numbers using the
total of 2000 Assamites on a worldwide population of 60,000 vampires (40,000
cainites and 20,000 kuei-jin). This is according to the generally maintained
1 : 100,000 ratio - one vampire for every hundred thousand mortals.
Clarification on the allegiances:
- Loyalists - these Assamites have remained
loyal to ur-Shulgi and his extremist doctrine.
- Schismatics - these Assamites have
followed Al-Ashrad's exodus and have sought refuge among the Camarilla.
- Antitribu - these Assamites are members of
the Sabbat sect.
- Dispossessed - these Assamites are either
anarchs, autarkis, Inconnu, or any other non-mainstream
affiliation.
And now for the numbers:
Of the 2000 Assamites worldwide, caste
breakdown is as follows:
45% warrior = 900 warriors in total
30% vizier = 600 viziers in total
25% sorcerer = 500 sorcerers in total
900 warriors split their loyalties as
follows:
55% loyalist = 495 warriors loyal to ur-Shulgi
20% schismatic = 180 Camarilla warriors
20% antitribu = 180 Sabbat warriors
5% dispossessed = 45 freelance warriors
600 viziers split their loyalties as follows:
40% schismatic = 240 Camarilla viziers
35% dispossessed = 210 freelance viziers
20% loyalist = 120 loyal to ur-Shulgi viziers
5% antitribu = 30 Sabbat viziers
500 sorcerers
split their loyalties as follows:
35% loyalist = 175 sorcerers loyal to ur-Shulgi
35% schismatic = 175 Camarilla sorcerers
25% dispossessed = 125 freelance sorcerers
5% antitribu = 25 Sabbat sorcerers
Total numbers according to allegiance:
Loyalists = 790 Assamites
Schismatics = 595 Assamites
